The brief
The owners wanted to save a 120-year-old family home and turn it into a slow, sunlit retreat for holidays and, eventually, retirement.

The challenge
Rotting beams, peeling plaster and a roof that leaked through every monsoon. Everything new had to respect the original arches and survive salty, humid air.

Our solution
We restored the laterite walls with breathable lime plaster, replaced beams with seasoned teak and furnished the courtyard with cane and teak pieces that weather beautifully.
